ONE CHILD ONE HEN MISSION- Our goal is to create a community-based infrastructure that would give the women and children power to face these challenges with confidence, while appreciating the power of joining hands together and forming one formidable force that would work towards the goal of reducing the levels of these problems, if not eliminate them.

Hens

One Child One Hen has made incredible progress in raising hens and chicks. Currently, the organization has 260 chicks and 52 layers, as well as 1,170 growers, which are chicks too young to lay yet. In addition, there are currently 800 eggs in incubators, adding further to the total. Each day, the hens and chicks eat 3.5 bags and a bucket of feed per day, translating to 10 pounds of feed per day. Currently, these chicks and hens produce 35 eggs per day, and this number will grow exponentially as more and more chicks mature and begin laying.
